Active Endpoints Announces Strategic Technology and Business Alliance with Industria
Tuesday, 18 October 2005Active Endpoints, Inc., a leading independent provider of SOA integration solutions, today announced a strategic technology and business alliance with Industria, a leading broadband communications solutions provider and systems integrator. Under the terms of the alliance, Industria will integrate and redistribute Active Endpoints' ActiveWebflow(TM) technologies with their telecommunications solutions, including their flagship product, HALO, a broadband operations support system.
This new alliance leverages standards-based, process-centric software solutions to enable services designed to meet the needs of consumers who value the benefits of a fully connected, digital lifestyle.
"We believe that by focusing on the business processes at the core of our solutions, and by implementing those processes using the industry standard BPEL (Business Process Execution Language) technology, our customers will have the opportunity to tailor those processes rapidly and proactively to best suit their business requirements and environment," said Gudjon Mar Gudjonsson, CEO, Industria. "Active Endpoints' ActiveWebflow solutions provide Industria with the leading-edge BPEL technology we require, enabling us to deliver the process driven, flexible solutions our customers need today."
ActiveWebflow is a family of platform-neutral, standards-based software solutions that allow organizations to significantly automate process flows internally and across their supplier, customer and partner ecosystems. Unlike proprietary solutions which interface with the BPEL standard through import and export utilities, ActiveWebflow provides complete and comprehensive support for BPEL as its native process orchestration language.
Through the integration of ActiveWebflow, Industria's customer base of digital service providers can readily customize their business processes to meet their emerging strategic needs, ensuring a close fit between the corporate strategy and the supporting operational systems in order to best meet the evolving needs of their subscribers.
Magnet Networks is an Irish multi-play provider that delivers a comprehensive range of high quality communications and entertainment services. Magnet recently selected Industria's HALO and Active Endpoints' ActiveWebflow solutions to support its next generation service offerings.
"We selected HALO and ActiveWebflow because we believe the combined solution will best enable us to provide our customers with the full digital living experience," said Ingvar Gardarsson, CEO, Magnet Networks. "This integrated solution will allow Magnet Networks to adapt quickly to new media opportunities, respond efficiently to our customers, and compete more effectively in our markets."
"The multi-play service provider community is moving rapidly toward component architectures, in general, and BPEL, specifically," said Fred Holahan, Chairman and Co-founder, Active Endpoints. "By incorporating ActiveWebflow into its HALO product, Industria receives all the benefits of enterprise-class BPEL technologies. The combination of ActiveWebflow and HALO represents a breakthrough in flexibility, scalability, reliability and performance, paving the way for the delivery of increased value to multi-play providers and consumers."
