AltaPoint Releases New Multi-Platform Software
Sunday, 9 July 2006 Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) July 7, 2006 -- AltaPoint Data Systems, an Electronic Medical Records and Practice Management Software Company, will release AltaPoint Medical 7.0 on July 7, 2006. AltaPoint Version 7.0 is the first product released by AltaPoint that runs on both Windows and Mac, and will be expanded to run on Linux later this year. The new version is a complete rewrite of AltaPoint's flagship product, AltaPoint Medical, which was originally written using Borland Delphi. Version 7.0 has been created with the use of the REALbasic software development environment. In addition to numerous new features and performance enhancements, Version 7.0 implements the popular open-source database PostgreSQL.
"Moving to REALbasic and PostgreSQL allows us to bring powerful new features to our Windows users while providing a solution to the growing Mac and Linux communities," said Douglas Lyman, President and Founder of AltaPoint. AltaPoint has been providing Practice Management, EMR/EHR, Veterinary, Dental and Law software solutions since 1996.
