Argus Systems Group Announces PitBull LX 2.0 for AIX 5.3
Tuesday, 1 August 2006 Argus Systems Group today announced the release of PitBull LX 2.0 for AIX 5.3. PitBull LX is built on the award- winning PitBull Domain Based Access Control (DBAC) technology and offers users the ability to defend AIX systems at their core. PitBull LX greatly simplifies system configuration and security policy implementation, and it protects against system attacks that have not yet been identified (zero day attacks). PitBull LX does not require the use of signatures, behavior patterns, or suspected anomalies to protect the system. "PitBull LX provides AIX users with a powerful security product that can protect their data assets at the very heart of the architecture," said Mac MacGregor, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "Traditional peripheral security mechanisms just aren't getting the job done. Users want better security for their valuable assets - PitBull fills that role." PitBull LX 2.0 for AIX is available for immediate purchase. PitBull LX is also available for Solaris and Linux. In addition, PitBull Foundation with multilevel security (MLS) is available for AIX 5.2, AIX 5.3, Solaris and Linux. PitBull LX for AIX product highlights include: -- DBAC domains that protect data and applications from insider and outsider attacks. -- DBAC network domains that prevent outside attacks and fully control all applications and network services. -- Simple installation scripts that let you quickly get PitBull LX up and running. -- Lockdown scripts that automatically lock down the system and many common applications. -- Logging mechanisms that let you monitor PitBull activity in real time. Argus is the leading provider of secure systems and has been supplying secure systems to government and commercial customers worldwide for over twelve years.
