Sunday, 30 January 2005Bell Microproducts Inc. (Nasdaq: BELM), a leading value-added provider of storage products and solutions, today announced new Information Lifecycle Management Solution "Recipe" Packages and the expansion and re-organization of its Bell Micro Solutions Center resources. The staff has increased its technical engineering and support personnel and will give particular attention to solutions developed for the SMB market. The two initial solution offerings are a Linux platform package featuring Radiant Data and an Email Archiving package. The packages will often include service options such as installations from Bell Microproducts, StorageTek, Hitachi Data Systems, Hp and others. The Bell Micro Storage Engineers will help reseller customers select the right package based on the end-user requirement. Bell Microproducts will support these custom solutions with its broad linecard specifically appropriate for the SMB market. Bell Micro Storage Engineers will have these pre-interoperable designs available for customer pre-sales support, and the documentation, along with pertinent white papers, will be available at http://www.bellmicro.com. "Network Storage has traditionally been viewed as too expensive for the SMB market and until recently this has largely been true," states Phil Roussey, Executive Vice President, Enterprise Marketing and Sales for Bell Microproducts. "We've taken our full supplier portfolio and selected the right combinations to meet the needs of small business. Whether it's fibre or IPSAN, our SE's have the unique ability to propose SMB solutions quickly and our customers can select from very cost-effective, entry-level solutions to more performance-based packages that won't break the budget."
