BioPassword Expands Management Team to Support Rapid Growth
Monday, 9 January 2006BioPassword, Inc., the only software company providing secure access and anti-fraud solutions based on the behavioral biometric of keystroke dynamics, today announced the BioPassword management team additions of Doug Wheeler as vice president of marketing and Dean Bravos as vice president of channel sales to support the company's rapid growth and continue to build product demand. With more than 18 years of experience as a senior executive in the computing and networking industries, Wheeler's background and knowledge of marketing and technology will strengthen BioPassword's management team. As Vice President of Marketing, Wheeler is responsible for building awareness and demand for BioPassword's next-generation authentication solutions. Bravos joins BioPassword with more than 14 years of experience in sales, marketing and strategic financial planning for enterprise-level and consumer-related technology manufacturers. As Vice President of Channel Sales, Bravos will be focused on building BioPassword's channel partner program to grow worldwide sales.
"It's a rare opportunity to join a company with a truly innovative and unique product that meets an established need," said Wheeler. "I'm delighted to articulate and communicate the message that an individual's unique typing rhythm can become a cost-effective multi-factor authentication solution without disrupting the current environment or introducing expensive hardware."
"With the rise in identity theft and data loss, solutions partners are eager to supply their customers with cutting-edge two-factor authentication solutions that easily integrate with existing systems and can be quickly deployed," said Bravos. "I am thrilled to develop BioPassword's worldwide presence and am confident that global resellers will embrace our biometric solution."
"Dean and Doug bring a wealth of knowledge and experience and are strong additions to our management team," said Mark DiSalle, CEO of BioPassword. "Together their leadership will enable us to further grow our strong customer base and expand our market share to achieve new levels of success."
Wheeler brings marketing experience from multiple startup companies including Seattle based Lockdown Networks and was co-founder, president and chief executive officer at ScriptRx, Inc. Prior to ScriptRx, Wheeler served as the senior vice president of worldwide marketing for Citrix Systems. While at Citrix, he led the global marketing team and the launch of new products into the UNIX marketplace. Wheeler also served as the vice president of corporate marketing and communications for Compaq Computer Corporation, Tandem Computer Corporation and Ungermann-Bass Networks. Wheeler holds a B.S. degree in Computer Information Systems from Purdue University and was recently inducted into the Purdue University Distinguished Alumni.
Prior to joining BioPassword, Bravos was a founding partner for Trifecta, a sales and marketing consulting firm whose clients include Shure, Digital Innovations and Cleversafe.
