ChaseWaterford - Benefits fraud management success attracts overseas interest
Monday, 25 July 2005Max Kennett CFE, Director, ChaseWaterford; ‘our fraud audits are extremely comprehensive and are the catalyst for the development of detailed fraud improvement programmes. We look for all possible fraud vulnerabilities within the benefits system addressing both internal and external fraud issues.
We have had significant success in identifying vulnerabilities and in developing systems and processes aimed at addressing fraud at the gateway to the benefits system. In addition to defining fraud strategies and putting in place detailed fraud prevention and response plans, we have applied technical system such as biometric profiling tools at the primary point of application to reduce the number of fraud attempts.
Employing comprehensive open source and commercial data matching measures and utilising fraud management software to support fraud team operations is also part of our strategy. We are also supporting the development of a grant management system that will provide a very significant deterrent and provide real time fraud alerts.
We are very pleased to have received interest from organisations overseas and will review each request to see how best we can support their fraud initiatives’.
