CMC Electronics Selects Green Hills Software Platform for Avionics

Green HillsSoftware, Inc., the technology leader in operating systems anddevelopment toolsfor safeand secure systems, today announced that CMC Electronics Inc. hasselected the Green Hills Software Platform for Avionics,including the INTEGRITY-178B real-time operating system (RTOS), GSTARTRavenscar compliant Ada kernel and AdaMULTI development environment, forCMC's Flight Management Control and Display (FMCDU) system.

The Green Hills Platform for Avionics will also be utilized for thedevelopment of a CMC Electronics Aircraft Management System product line,featuring PCI open system architecture.

This powerful capability enablesdevelopers to reduce the number of on-board computers needed to supportmultiple software systems. Furthermore, the Platform for Avionics withINTEGRITY-178B is the only safety critical RTOS certified for multiplelanguages, including: Ada, C, and Embedded C++, allowing developers tochoose the language and kernel best suited to meet their development needs.
