DNUK Selects Chelsio's T210-CX iSCSI Target Solution

Chelsio Communications Inc., the leading provider of iSCSI acceleration adapter and ASIC solutions, and DNUK, one of the UK's leading suppliers of Linux workstations, server and storage systems, today announced that DNUK is offering Chelsio's T210-CX4 10GbE TOE/iSCSI acceleration adapters as a component of its line of next-generation storage systems targeting Linux enterprise environments.

Chelsio's T210-CX4 TOE/iSCSI adapter and iSCSI Target software v1.0 is a proven turnkey solution set that offers significant cost savings for storage target systems by leveraging the volume, scalability, and simplicity of off-the-shelf server platforms, standard Ethernet connectivity, and copper CX-4 cabling. T210-CX has been measured to deliver more than 600K IOPS and 7.9G (limited by PCI-X 1.0 bandwidth) throughput when used with the Chelsio iSCSI Target stack running in RAMdisk mode and Microsoft initiators.

Using Chelsio T210-CX and iSCSI Target v1.0, DNUK has created a complete line of iSCSI and direct attached storage (DAS) systems. The products can easily scale to meet the resiliency, storage performance and capacity requirements of Linux enterprise and data center applications, ranging from e-commerce to scientific applications. The DNUK systems will be available in March.
