Elluminate and US/Canadian Moodle Partners Announce Integration Between Elluminate Live! and Moodle

the Internet-based, real-time eLearning tool that includes best-in-class voice over the Internet, shared whiteboards, text messaging, breakout rooms, application sharing, PowerPoint import, and more, all in a multi-platform environment that ensures a superior user experience regardless of connection speed.

Remote-Learner.net and Open Knowledge Technologies further announced that they will make the free Elluminate Live! Basic Edition available to their hosted customers. An annual support contract will also be available that will include installation, upgrades and new feature additions as they are added. Customers will be able to take advantage of the integration by scheduling Elluminate Live! Basic Edition collaboration sessions entirely within Moodle. Live meeting events populate the Moodle calendar, can be set as a graded activity and pass single sign-on through to the Elluminate server. Customers will also be able to upgrade to the Elluminate Live! Academic Edition™ if they need features such as two-way voice/video over IP, application sharing, multimedia streaming or synchronized WebTours and easy access to recorded sessions from within Moodle.

The Elluminate Live! integration module for Moodle is available for download from the Moodle CVS repository and from http://moodle.org/mod/data/view.php?id=6009. Annual support for the integration costs US$500/year and is provided in the US by Remote-Learner.net (http://remote-learner.net) while Canadian support is provided by Open Knowledge Technologies (http://oktech.ca/).
