Empower Technologies to Participate at Consumer Electronics Show
Sunday, 26 December 2004Empower Technologies Corporation ("Empower") is pleased to announce the participation of its wholly-owned subsidiary, Empower Technologies, Inc. of Redmond, Washington, at one of the world's largest consumer electronics tradeshows, "Consumer Electronics Show 2005" to be held January 6 to 10, 2005 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The CES is one of the largest USA trade fairs and has been continuously growing year after year. This year there will be in excess of 150,000 visitors, 4,000 media press members and over 110 participating countries with 2,400 plus major exhibitors. Dr. Edward Dennis, President of Empower, states "the number of companies procuring embedded OS type consumer products will increase 15-20% by 2007 and the most informed buyers of consumer electronic products will be in attendance at this tradeshow. For Empower and its alliance partner, Texas Instruments, the show provides the perfect forum to introduce Empower's next generation LinuxDA Embedded O/S (LEOs) including a new PowerPlay lifestyle product, OSAKA Project, which is a new experience in digital audio sound and incorporates the Texas Instrument OMAP5910 Dual Processor." The representatives of over 110 nations visiting the show make 70% of the procurement decisions for their companies. Empower will be exhibiting LinuxDA Embedded O/S and PowerPlay products in their own booth No. 71553 in the Innovations Plus Pavilion, CES Central Plaza building and at the Texas Instrument booth No. 8202 in the Central Hall building.
