Free Educational Program Unveiled at LinuxWorld Conference & Expo 2005
Wednesday, 19 January 2005Inaugural "Technology Showcase" highlighted by technology gurus from Slashdot and SourceForge.net offers three days of free Linux and Open Source education on exhibit hall's main stage
IDG World Expo, the leading producer of world-class tradeshows, conferences and events for technology markets, today unveiled the LinuxWorld Technology Showcase - free educational training classes for all attendees at LinuxWorld Conference & Expo(R) Boston on February 14-17, 2005 at the Hynes Convention Center. The Technology Showcase offers over 10 hours of complimentary Linux and Open Source educational sessions by industry experts over three days and will take place on the exhibit hall's main stage beginning at 10:15 a.m. each day. Admission to the exhibit hall is free if attendees register online at http://www.linuxworldexpo.com before February 14.
The Technology Showcase will feature presentations on Linux and Open Source projects and will offer Expo attendees the chance to interact with industry experts on a wide variety of topics. It will also give Expo attendees a taste of the world-class training that takes place in the Conference portion of LinuxWorld.
OSTG (Open Source Technology Group), the leading online technology network for IT and development professionals, will be highlighted at the Technology Showcase on Wednesday, February 16. Other topics throughout the week will be presented by Linux and Open Source experts from Novell, Sun, AMD and Scalix. They will cover several topics including:
