InstallAware Delivers Setup Compression without Conversion.

InstallAware Software Corporation today announced the release of Setup Squeezer, an intelligent application to recompress Windows Installer (MSI) and InstallShield (EXE) setups using the most advanced algorithms available today. With LZMA compression technology, and BCJ2 compression pre-processing, Setup Squeezer is able to make already-compressed setups smaller by an additional 15% to 50%. For instance, Setup Squeezer for Windows Installer reduces Microsoft s Windows Defender MSI setup down to 3.2MB from 6.5MB.

Previously compressed packages and nested setups, which cripple compression utilities like WinZip, are recursively scanned, opened, and automatically recompressed.

In addition to providing users with rapid downloads through advanced package compression a up to 5x better than ZIP, CAB, RAR, or SITX formats a Setup Squeezer also reduces user frustration during the software install by providing rapid unpacking.
