InsynQ Announces Plans to Deploy Online Edition of Appgen MyBooks Professional
Sunday, 26 December 2004InsynQ, Inc. (OTC BB: INSN), a premier provider of Internet-delivered online accounting solutions and services, announced today it was nearing deployment of an online edition of Appgen MyBooks Professional, the comprehensive accounting package. InsynQ was recently named the exclusive hosting service provider of MyBooks Professional by Appgen Software Solutions, a division of Aptus Corp.
Availability of the Online Edition is anticipated for January 2005. Subscribers will be able to directly access a hosted, fully-functional version of MyBooks Professional through their local operating system (Windows, Mac OS X, or Linux) via the Internet at a more affordable cost than other hosting solutions.
"What makes this hosted solution unique is the nature of the delivery," says InsynQ's Executive Vice President Joanie Mann. "The software resides at our protected data center like other hosted applications, however, unlike other hosted apps, there is no need to host a Windows environment or desktop concurrently since the software is Linux-based. For those who only need accounting software delivered over the Web, this is an extremely affordable and versatile option."
Since hosting an operating system like Windows is not necessary, the solution will be offered at the low price of $19.95 per month per user. The price is more appealing because it includes a license rental agreement making the purchase of the software license unnecessary. It also includes standard hosting services such as virus protection, automatic backup, and IT support. In addition, the software comes with Appgen's Executive Dashboard module, a tool that summarizes the vital operational and financial statistics of a business.
Similar to InsynQ's e-Accounting package of services, the solution allows anytime-anywhere access of data from any computer that has an Internet connection and is particularly appealing to accounting professionals and their small business clients, who need an affordable way to network together and share access to real-time financial data. Unlike most Web-based applications, this solution offers a full-featured version of the software. With the Executive Dashboard, owners and operators of businesses can monitor company performance with up-to-date data from any Web-enabled computer.
"This Online Edition of Appgen's multi-platform and scalable accounting solution will further reach the $76 billion accounting and bookkeeping market. It serves practices of any size who require a more robust accounting software solution in the online environment, but who don't necessarily need to host an array of applications," said John Gorst, InsynQ's Chairman and CEO.
