InsynQ Offers Linspire Version of Its Low-Cost, High-End Linux Accounting Software
Thursday, 9 June 2005InsynQ, Inc. (OTC BB: INSN), a premier provider of Internet-delivered online accounting solutions who recently purchased selected Appgen software assets from Aptus Corp., announced today the availability of two low-cost entry-level packages of the Appgen MyBooks Professional accounting and finance software for the Linspire operating system. The two Linspire packages, a one-user or two-user model, are now available at the CNR ("click and run") Warehouse on Linspire's website (www.linspire.com) with pricing of $99 (MSRP) for the two-user version, and $59 (MSRP) for the single-user version.
Linspire is a Linux-based operating system that combines the stability, security and affordability of Linux with a familiar, easy-to-use desktop environment. Appgen's MyBooks Professional Linspire version is available with Linspire's innovative CNR Technology that makes installing software on Linspire fast and one-click easy.
This Linspire offering of MyBooks Professional, the award-winning small business accounting package, is another example of how Appgen's business and accounting applications -- Linux-native since 1997 -- support the Linux desktop. MyBooks Professional has both a Linux server and Linux client application, as well as an ODBC server for additional data access and reporting.
Joanie Mann, Executive Vice President of InsynQ, stated, "MyBooks Professional for Linspire is a commercial application for the Linux desktop that meets demand in the business market for low-cost computing alternatives. This offering helps Appgen Business Software further address the Linux market with an entry-level accounting solution with the option for easy customization and scalability through Appgen's 4GL Development System and offered by Appgen developer partners worldwide."
Kevin La Rue, Linspire's Vice President of Marketing, added, "We're delighted that InsynQ chose to debut the single- and double-user versions of their impressive MyBooks Professional software on the Linspire operating system. SMB and home business users alike will benefit from having an affordable, complete accounting and finance solution available for desktop Linux."
Appgen's MyBooks Professional and its other products, Custom Suite, and the Executive Dashboard, run on various Linux distributions, as well as Windows and MAC OSX. The Appgen 4GL Development System has been designed to run in a variety of Unix/Linux environments.
