Irwin Energy Acquires Working Interest in Arizona
Thursday, 22 June 2006 Irwin Energy, Incorporated (PINKSHEETS: IWNE) announced today that the Company has acquired a twentypercent working interest in the Pinta Dome Field located in ApacheCounty, Arizona. Bengal Drilling will drill a 2,800 foot test well atthe Pinta Dome Field to determine the presence of oil, gas andhelium. The drilling is scheduled to commence during July 2006. About Pinta DomeThe Pinta Dome Field was discovered in 1956 and produced 6.5 billioncubic feet of helium from the Permian Supai at 1,100 feet untilabandoned in 1977. Irwin Energy and its joint venture partners willdrill the basement test to confirm the oil and gas potential of thedeeper formations at Pinta Dome and pressure test the Permian Supaifor recoverable helium reserves. The Dineh-Bi-Keyah Field north ofPinta Dome on the Navajo Nation of Apache County has produced inexcess 18.3 million barrels of crude oil.
