Jabber Messenger Announces Messenger for the Web 5.0
Sunday, 30 July 2006 Jabber, Inc., a provider of real-time presence and messaging solutions, has announced Jabber Messenger for the Web 5.0 for Federal Government customers. The client communicates directly with Jabber Extensible Communications Platform (Jabber XCP) servers by running inside a user's web browser via Asynchronous JavaScript and XML (AJAX). Along with its standard enterprise and carrier grade instant messaging (IM), multi-user chat, and highly programmable presence platform, Jabber XCP has added: A new Java-script client that leverages HTTP Binding, Jabber Messenger for the Web 5.0; Out-of-the-box integration with Adobe's Macromedia Breeze software. Breeze customers can initiate part or all of the collaboration suite's rich functionality from within Jabber XCP chat sessions or contact lists; Certificate-based authentication using x.509 certificates; Support for Oracle 10G, DB2 8, and PostgreSQL 8 databases, and more.
