JasperSoft Integrates World's Leading Open Source Reporting Technology JasperReports With SugarCRM

JasperSoft Corporation, the leader in open source business intelligence, today announced JasperReports for SugarCRM, the first open source reporting engine for the SugarCRM Sugar Suite. The new solution, available for download on SugarExchange at http://www.sugarexchange.com, provides a library of pre-set, transactional reports that run with Sugar Suite, offering users the ability to easily generate customer interaction-based reports.

Since releasing JasperReports for SugarCRM in late March, the solution has been downloaded over 15,000 times, making it a high-ranking SugarForge project (http://www.sugarforge.org), and earning both a SugarForge Editor's Pick and the SugarForge Project of the Month for June. The overwhelming response to JasperReports on SugarForge makes it the obvious inaugural featured product in SugarExchange, SugarCRM's new marketplace for Sugar Suite extensions, set for launch in early July.

Expanding upon the Sugar Suite ability for advanced ad-hoc, multi module reporting, JasperReports focuses on transactional reporting displayed in multiple visual formats for ease of use. Combined, JasperReports with Sugar Suite ensures that everyone within a company -- including sales, marketing, financial, purchasing, and operations staff -- has access to the reports they need, whenever they need them, and in the format they prefer, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, PDF, and web-based formats. JasperReports for SugarCRM seamlessly integrates into existing IT infrastructure and communicates with other third-party applications using HTTP or Java APIs. Corporate data can be pulled from existing databases with JDBC, POJO, and XML.
