JasperSoft Names Brian C. Gentile to Board of Directors
Monday, 20 March 2006 JasperSoft Corporation, the leader in open source business intelligence reporting, today announced that Brian C. Gentile has joined the company's board of directors. Gentile brings more than 21 years of leadership and marketing experience to JasperSoft, with a track record of success in executive assignments at Aspect Communications, Brio Software, Ariba, Sun Microsystems and Apple Computer. He is currently Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Informatica, a leading provider of enterprise data integration solutions. Before his work with Aspect, Gentile served as executive vice president and chief marketing officer for Brio Software, Inc., a BI vendor, where he rebuilt the company's global marketing efforts from the ground up. He also previously worked at Sun Microsystems, where he helped build the Sun Developer Connection Program into the industry's largest developer community. Gentile served for seven years as a Public Governor on the board of the Pacific Stock & Options Exchange in San Francisco. He is currently a supervisory board member for WCC, a Netherlands-based searching and matching technology company, and advises several Silicon Valley-based technology companies as a board member. He has earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of Arizona.
