Migrate-Data 1.0 (any-to-any database migration tool)

Migrate-Data is a pure java and an extremely powerful enterprise data migration tool aimed at small and medium sized databases. It has been developed with the sole aim of making the cumbersome task of data migration and integration easier for open source and commercial databases. Requirements have been addressed very thoughtfully so as to make the task more pleasant.

With Migrate-Data the user can easily extract, transform, load and integrate data from any-to-any databases. In addition the user can also perform customized data extraction from source and create customized target objects.

Migrate-Data relies fully on the Java Database Connectivity Technology (JDBC) API to migrate data from any-to-any.

Migrate-Data enables connections to many different databases through JDBC drivers available from a variety of vendors.

*** Migrate-Data supports ten open source and commercial RDBMSs while supporting selection of fields form one or more tables with condition for data extraction and transformation

*** Migrate-Data supports flat files with field delimiters as source for any supporting target databases. It Supports selection of fields with condition for data extraction

*** Migrate-Data supports MS Excel spread sheet as source for any supporting target databases. It supports selection of fields from Excel sheet for data extraction

1) Migrates data to target database having same or different schema from the source database

2) Generates 'CREATE TABLE script for target table by having the selected fields from one or more tables with modified properties.

3) Incorporates a query builder that helps to create SQL SELECT statement by having selected fields from one or more tables, with data filtering conditions

4) Facility for parsing SQL SELECT statement and checking syntax

5) Option for adding a field for generating data of type sequence or identity, along with the selected field/s from the source table/s

6) Facilitates for changing target table name, field name, field type and size while extracting data from one or more tables in the source database, flat file and Excel sheet

7) Facility to execute SQL SELECT statement that is stored in a file for extracting data from the source database

8) Facility to paste SQL SELECT statement by copying that from out side sources for extracting data from the source database

9) Incorporates Driver manager that helps to instantiate a JDBC driver dynamically at run time

10) Generates DDL (Data definition language) script for the target database with table structure, constraints (Primary key, foreign key) and indexes

11) Provides syntax editor for viewing, editing and saving generated DDL script for the target database

12) Provides syntax editor for viewing, editing and saving generated CREATE TABLE statement for the target table, from the selected tables and declared constraints.

13) Generate File/s those contain/s SQL INSERT statements by getting the selected fields from one or more tables, with data filtering conditions for the target table/s

14) Facilitates generation of LOADER scripts along with supporting files for loading data into target database
