Neterion Names Valley Industry Veteran as New Chief Financial Officer
Sunday, 8 October 2006 Neterion, Inc., the industry leader in the 10 Gigabit Ethernet adapter market for server and storage environments, announced that it has appointed Kenton Chow as the company's new chief financial officer. Mr. Chow brings more than 20 years of high technology industry and IPO experience to Neterion, where he will be responsible for the company's financial strategy, operations and support infrastructure. "We are very pleased to add a talented executive like Ken to our team," said Dave Zabrowski, President and CEO of Neterion. "His extensive financial and operational background and successful history in IPO activities will make Ken a great asset for the Neterion team as we expand our business." Formerly, Mr. Chow was the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Azul Systems, Inc. where he raised substantial capital and led the company through its early stages to market leadership in the multi-core enterprise computing market. Prior to Azul, he served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Catena Networks, Inc., a telecom equipment manufacturer, later acquired by Ciena. Before Catena, Mr. Chow was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Cobalt Networks, Inc., a manufacturer of server appliances. After successful performance as a public company, Ken was instrumental in closing Cobalt's $2 billion merger with Sun Microsystems. He has also held senior financial management positions at OpenTV, Inc., Symantec Corporation, Bay Networks, Inc. (now Nortel Networks, Inc.) and PriceWaterhouseCoopers. "Given Neterion's excellent track record of innovation and exceptional list of customers and partners, there are tremendous opportunities on the horizon," said Kenton Chow. "I am excited about this new role and look forward to driving strategic business initiatives and market strategy." Mr. Chow holds a Bachelors in Science in Finance and a Masters in Business Administration from Santa Clara University.
