NTT America to Use HP Servers for Mid-Market Customers
Tuesday, 2 January 2007 NTT America, a U.S. subsidiary of NTT Communications, today announced the launch of a consolidated dedicated server hardware platform utilizing HP ProLiant servers. NTT America's Enterprise Hosting division will use several rack-based HP ProLiant servers to provide its mid-market customers with a standardized hardware platform that provides scalable and robust services with predictable performance. Through this consolidation to one common, fully-tested and supported hardware platform, NTT America can provide customers with improved overall service and expert support for more rapid problem resolution. The offering will further provide customers with greater reliability and recoverability options through its hardware-based RAID system. Additionally, NTT will offer standard pre-installed software for all Microsoft Windows Server 2003 packages and standard pre-installed software for all Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.0 packages.
