OSBC, LLC today announced the second annual Open Source Business Conference(TM) (OSBC), the premier event for open source software and business, will be held April 5 and 6 at the Westin St. Francis in San Francisco with featured keynote speakers from IBM, OSDL, SpikeSource, Sun Microsystems, VA Software, and authors Geoffrey Moore and Lawrence Lessig.
OSBC is designed for IT business executives (buyers and vendors), venture capitalists, attorneys, and other decision-makers tasked with developing businesses that leverage open source software. It explores the legal, investment, vendor and customer risks, rewards, and opportunities presented by open source software. Listen to keynote speeches from:
-- Jonathan Schwartz, president and COO, Sun Microsystems, on "Building Billion Dollar Businesses with Open Source and Open Communities;"
-- Kim Polese, CEO, SpikeSource (and former CEO of Marimba), on "Open Source in the Enterprise: Coping with Commodities in the New IT Marketplace;"

OSBC is a unique venue for gaining insights from the leaders in open source and business. Where do the top venture capitalists see the biggest market opportunities? What is Microsoft's evolving strategy around open source? After SCO, where do legal authorities see risks in open source software and how can your firm best prepare?
