Monday, 12 September 2005 The Open Source Development Labs (OSDL), a global consortium dedicated to accelerating the adoption of Linux(R), today announced the appointment of Dave Rosenberg to a newly-created position as Principal Analyst. In this role, Rosenberg will publish analyses of market trends, manage marketing communication programs and evangelize OSDL's mission to increase adoption of Linux and open source technologies.
"In addition to hands-on technology and product marketing expertise, Dave brings important relationships across the technology industry," said Stuart Cohen, CEO of OSDL. "With his knowledge of the Linux and open source marketplace, Dave can help OSDL deliver on its mission of bringing together industry, developers and customers to advance Linux."
"Linux and open source are changing business models around the world and OSDL plays a key role in accelerating the adoption of this innovative computing platform," said Rosenberg. "The technological, economic, and societal importance of the shift to open source technologies cannot be underestimated. I'm pleased at the opportunity to work with OSDL on these issues."
