Public Notes Available for All Open Source Documentation; OSoft's ThoutReader 'Goes Public'

OSoft.com, a leading provider of open source documentation solutions, announced today that it has rolled out public notes for all distributed content.

The ThoutReader is an open source (GPL 2.0) documentation platform that allows developers to browse, search, bookmark, and append their favorite library of reference documentation and personal code as well as reference books -- from one program, at the same time -- even off-line.

"Public or user notes have been widely used by OS applications such as PHP and MySQL for some time and are often more helpful than the original documentation," states Gary Varnell, OSoft CTO. "Adding public notes to the ThoutReader(TM) expands the benefit to ALL open source documentation and reference books such as Perl and Python, which do not offer public annotations."
