Defense industry news provided by Financial News USA (OTC: FNWU) The Boeing Co. (NYSE:BA) said Tuesday it has delivered the first AH-64D Apache Longbow for the Japanese government. The multirole combat helicopter was delivered Dec. 15 in Mesa, Ariz., to Fuji Heavy Industries (FHI), a Japanese aerospace firm. FHI will produce the Apache Longbow aircraft under a licensed production agreement with Boeing. Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE:NOC) Newport News sector and the United Steelworkers of America (Local 8888), joined together for the sector's 19th annual holiday food drive. Shipbuilders donated 6,800 pounds of non-perishable food items and made monetary contributions totaling $4,061 to benefit the FoodBank of the Virginia Peninsula.
