SpecOps Labs, Canada to Restructure Ahead of Imminent Release of Revolutionary DAVID Software
Monday, 30 May 2005SpecOps Labs, Canadian-based SpecOps Labs announces:
SpecOps Labs, Canada, have announced they are currently in the process of restructuring their management team, in response to an Exclusive Agreement to market the pioneering DAVID software. The company has received fresh investment capital and is recruiting highly experienced, world-class management and marketing professionals to deal with the deluge of requests from companies interested in becoming resellers for the innovative product.
With the aid of industry leading software marketing consultants, experienced in nurturing companies from startup to valuations of 100's of millions of dollars, SpecOps Labs, Canada is preparing to implement an ingenious web-based marketing strategy for the DAVID software, which is expected to secure more than 90% of the Linux/windows compatibility market.
Turbolinux, the leading supplier of Linux operating systems and applications in Asia Pacific have also been granted an exclusive license to market DAVID throughout Asia, and the company is now negotiating with several multibillion dollar OEM's for the marketing rights in other regions of the world.
The DAVID software, nearing the end of its Beta Testing Phase, was successfully developed by SpecOpS Labs, Philippines, and when made available commercially, later in the year, will allow millions of computer users throughout the world to run Windows-based programs using the alternative Linux operating system.
Unlike Microsoft's operating system, Linux is a free and open-source OS, accessible to every PC user throughout the world. "In one bold stroke, DAVID will level the playing field and turn the computing industry on its head, allowing users to migrate from the costly Windows operating environment to a free operating system," said Sylvie Charrier, President of SpecOps Labs, Canada.
Sylvie Charrier added, "Essentially we wanted to offer consumers a choice and make free operating systems like Linux more mainstream. In many developing countries, the cost of the Microsoft operating system is prohibitive, but there's an absence of choice because the proliferating software and programs can only run effectively on one system"
It is estimated that Microsoft, at present, controls over 90% of the global operating system market. Despite the inherent advantages of free open-source operating systems, it appears consumers have been slow to switch, largely due to the incompatibility concerns. SpecOps proclaim the DAVID software will address these compatibility issues, which will also drive down the cost of purchasing PCs in the near future.
Responding to speculation that DAVID and SpecOps is out to dethrone Microsoft, Fred Lewis of Specops Laboratories, Philippines said, "We recognize the popularity and superiority of Windows Applications and what we want to do is popularize a middleware product to alternative OS manufacturers, which will allow them, in turn, to provide their consumers with an OS capable of running these existing applications. In the end it will make Windows more popular than ever. The alternative system will help in Windows' proliferation."
In the near future SpecOps Labs, Canada is expected to change its name in order to avoid confusion with SpecOps Laboratories, Philippines, the developer of DAVID.
