Sun Microsystems Kicks Off Sun Tech Days 2005 Worldwide Tour

(Nasdaq: SUNW), the creator and leading advocate of Java technology, today announced its Sun Tech Days 2005 event series will kick off in Mexico City, Mexico at the Centro de Exposiciones y Convenciones World Trade Center, March 2-3. Additional locations include Sao Paulo, Brazil (April 5-6) at the Hotel Gran Melia WTC Sao Paulo and Bangalore, India (May 19-20) at the Bangalore Trade Centre. Sun's Tech Days are designed to provide professional developers, programmers, Web developers, content providers, service providers and system integrators with technology, training and tools for enhancing the development of applications for the Internet, intranets and enterprise environments.
The Tech Days events are very popular regional venues that over the last several years have drawn capacity crowds as developers from around the world gather to learn from prominent industry experts about Sun products, technologies and programs including Java technology, Solaris Operating System, Sun Java Enterprise System, Sun Java Desktop System, Sun's comprehensive Sun Studio software developer tools and the Sun Developer Network ( SDN ) program. Designed to be Sun's most technical developer events, Sun Tech Days are loaded with practical information including insights on Java technology, examples of third party partner solutions, and "how-to" training on an array of hot technology topics including enterprise computing, security, mobile computing, Web services, open source and developer tools.

Other speakers are world-renowned Sun technologists including Angela M. Caicedo, Casey Chan, Dr. Doris Chen, Inyoung Cho, Reggie Hutcherson, Rima Patel, Sridhar Reddy, Simon Ritter, Raghavan Srinivas, Sang Shin and Matt Thompson. This year's sponsors are Oracle and SAP.
