TenFold Announces Support for EnterpriseDB
Friday, 23 December 2005TenFold(R) Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: TENF), provider of the EnterpriseTenFold(TM) platform today announced the addition of EnterpriseDB relational database support to EnterpriseTenFold. EnterpriseDB is the world's only enterprise-class open source-based relational database built upon PostgreSQL. EnterpriseDB adds compatibility, reliability, scalability, and performance features that make it perfect for supporting enterprise applications. "EnterpriseTenFold supports all popular relational database management systems, including commercial and open source products. From the beginning we designed our technology to be portable to any RDBMS while still generating the most optimal SQL for each particular database. This allowed us to add EnterpriseDB support in just a few weeks," said Alexei Chadovich, TenFold's SVP, Research and Development. "We are happy to offer our customers a choice of running EnterpriseTenFold on a enterprise-class relational database with enterprise-class support, but without the enterprise-class price tag." "We are pleased to have TenFold as one of our new partners. We believe there is a good synergy between TenFold's enabling rapid applications development technology and EnterpriseDB," said Matt Bennett, EnterpriseDB's Director of Alliances. "EnterpriseDB is an attractive alternative for customers because it adds significant enterprise features, and now TenFold customers can switch to EnterpriseDB without making any changes to their TenFold-powered applications." "EnterpriseTenFold technology powers some very complex applications and, in so doing, exercises the most advanced features of the most sophisticated RDBMS products," said Bob Felton, TenFold's Chairman, President and CEO. "We are delighted that our technology is so portable that we were able to quickly support EnterpriseDB and provide this new open source database to our customers and partners."
