Thor Technologies Adds Support For Red Hat Enterprise Linux

More and more enterprises are taking advantage of such options. Recent data continues to validate the growing adoption rate of Linux in enterprise deployments. Reports published by IDC and Forrester point to the continued strong growth of Linux. IDC expects the overall enterprise server market to grow 5 per cent in 2004 and to achieve a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) over the next five years of 3.8 per cent, from $53 billion this year to $60.8 billion in 2008. The IDC report predicts that the most dramatic growth within this category will be for Linux-based servers. The use and adoption of Linux will grow at a 47 per cent rate, reaching $3.23 billion this year. Linux machines are expected to capture 29 per cent of the server market by 2008, nearly tripling their current market share.

According to the leading analyst firm, Datamonitor, the total market for identity management products and services is set to grow from 2003 revenues of $4.3 billion to $6.2 billion by 2007 at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 9.9 per cent, with provisioning accounting for the highest rate of growth.
