Vanguard Unveils New Products to Extend IBM Mainframe Security to Enterprise-Wide
Sunday, 9 January 2005Vanguard Integrity Professionals announced today the general availability of its newest release of acclaimed security software, Vanguard Security Solutions 5.3. With this product news, Vanguard continues to align its premier security products to work with IBM eServer zSeries mainframe security product, Resource Access Control Facility (RACF) for z/OS.
Vanguard Security Solutions provides customers with enterprise-wide security on demand in cross-platform environments. This newest release includes a new product, Vanguard ez/Token, a two-factor authentication solution that integrates token technology with RACF. Vanguard Security Solutions 5.3 offers more than 40 reporting, auditing and efficiency enhancements designed to meet the stringent demands of today's regulatory requirements for compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, HIPAA, etc. Additionally, Government agencies, such as the Canadian Department of National Defence, must adhere to the most rigorous of IT security standards.

Several customers are currently in production on IBM zSeries processors with Vanguard's premier enterprise security products -- Vanguard Enforcer(TM), Vanguard PasswordReset(TM), Vanguard ez/SignOn(TM) and Vanguard SecurityCenter(TM) to extend mainframe security to the entire enterprise. Many more customers are piloting these solutions, which IBM demonstrated at the IBM zSeries Expo in Miami last month.
