Zenoss Launches Open Source Enterprise Systems Management Project
Thursday, 16 February 2006 Zenoss, Inc., an open source systemsmanagement software company, announced today at the Open Source BusinessConference in San Francisco, California, the launch of the Zenoss opensource systems management project.
"The goal of the Zenoss project is to lower the cost and complexity ofenterprise systems management leveraging the power of open source and themodern web," said Bill Karpovich, CEO of Zenoss, Inc.
The Zenoss software has been in development since 2002. "The software isdesigned from the ground up to provide the essential functionality neededto effectively monitor and manage IT infrastructure in a product that isintegrated and easy to use," said Erik Dahl, CTO and architect of Zenoss.
Network and systems engineers/operators are invited to download the Zenosssoftware and join the Zenoss community at http://www.zenoss.org.
